The showstoppers
You'll hear them before you see them — and when a male fans his train, the whole farm stops to watch.
Peafowl originally come from India, and have been kept on farms and homesteads for centuries for one simple reason: they're spectacular. In spring and summer the males put on their famous display, fanning a train of shimmering eye-spot feathers.
Ours wander the farm like they own the place. Keep your camera handy.
