Shetland ponies come from the windswept Shetland Isles north of Scotland, which is why they're so tough for their size. Centuries of hard island living made them strong, sure-footed and famously good-natured.
Ours love a gentle pat and a snack. Just mind your fingers — they're enthusiastic eaters.
